It's true. When Bethesda adds Creation Club content to the game, Skyrim needs to be updated. Mods that rely on that version of the game fail to work, resulting in the game crashing due to version incompatibilities. The best thing you can do is disable all of your mods when a new version comes out or, if you're on PC, roll back your game version until the mods get updated.
Autosaves and quicksaves in Bethesda games are notoriously unstable. These saves store information in a less stable way than proper saves do, resulting in crashing if the quicksave or autosave in question is large. To remedy this, you can either force autosaves to apply less frequently or disable them altogether. If you choose the latter, install an autosave mod to make saves for you.
It seems redundant, but autosave systems from mods are almost always more stable than Bethesda's autosaves. Nothing can cause Skyrim to crash more reliable than a corrupt save file. This can happen for a multitude of reasons, but know that no platform is exempt from this issue.
Uninstalling mods mid-playthrough and continuing with the same save is the most common reason why this happens. It can also occur if your game save is large and has hundreds of hours on it. Past that, there isn't much you can do besides relying on an older save that doesn't rely on the content that was either removed or corrupted. Starting a new Skyrim playthrough altogether is the best solution. Charles Burgar is an expert on all things tech and gaming.

I have an RTX Ti with a ik and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why it kept crashing after I took a couple steps in-game. I have the same problem trying to play Fallout 4 and Fallout They both crash to Desktop constantly and I can't play either one. I've submitted tickets to both Bethesda and Nvidia. Need a serious fix here guys, any ideas?
I can't figure out how to fix this and get it to work. But i like weapon debris on. Flash the falcon ucode i guess?? I have exactly the same problem yes gun debries is turned of. It dosent mater how I launch from steam, Nvidia's Gforce experiance on both optamised and none optermized settings, Vortex using the Script extender, or strait from the launch program in admin mode.
I have run the local file varifacation from Steam hundred's of time they allways come back clean, but the issues remain. I love the game but these crashes are making it unusable any help would be more than walcome there must be something to out help overcome at least some of these issues. De bob. Just a footnote. Is it possible the specifacation of my Pc with its 20 core proccesor, 48 Gig of memory and 8 Gig of video memory is just to much for the game to handle who knows I certanly dont.
De Bob. Did you ever fix this? My problem sounds very similar. The difference is, as of tonight, I can't even get past the loading screen to start my saved game. Same issue and resolution for me with a and fully up to date game and drivers.
Sep I just recently upgraded to a RTX from a very old ti. While I was testing out some games I noticed Fallout 4 would crash to desktop after about a minute of walking around every time. Every other game I tried worked fine though. I reinstalled my old GTX ti using the same Again I cant even play one minute without a crash on the Is anyone else with a experiencing this?
If it matters I'm using windows 10 bit and an unmodded Fallout 4. All Results. Its safe to assume that at this point, your Fallout 4 must-have stopped crashing.
In this case, the most notable solution would be to reinstall Fallout 4. Not only will this ensure that fresh ones replace all the corrupt files. These are usually related to config files, which are automatically re-written and configured without any notice. By all means, you can uninstall the game through Steam or Control Panel, but make sure that the files are removed from temp folder before you began to reinstall.
The most important and unnoticed feature that could be potentially causing your Fallout 4 to crash is excessive hardware temperatures. These are most commonly associated with newer Graphics Card, that have fan speeds turned to Auto, and they only run when the Hardware hits a certain threshold.
Once it does, the Graphic Card fans automatically begin to spin, but at this point, the game has already crashed. To further illustrate what it means, If you decide to Play Fallout 4 and continue it for a while. Rest assured, here is how you can stop this from happening and also become a little practical to check If the Graphics Card fans spin or not.
After you have assessed how it works, significantly reduce the thresholds to something normal. For example, the fan speed should be at 80 if the temperatures are reaching 60 or All things aside, you can easily find the temperatures for the remaining hardware through Speccy or HWMonitor.
These two programs will tell you the exact temperatures, and they are consistently updated, so you can also check them while launching Fallout.
In order to fix high temperatures, you will have to apply different techniques. The most common is a thermal paste, but for hardware such as Ram and Motherboard, you should most presumably fix the airflow or get a new case. All things aside, these two features should be addressed at the very last.
We have ideally tested full-screen optimization across several games, including that of League of Legends, which had a similar problem. This also causes further glitches if the game itself has other screen options and both are contradicting each other. Big deal. I don't doubt you're experiencing reproducible crashes there.
Your explanation for this is utter BS though. Only the Elder Scrolls are made by Bethesda. Every thing else including this game are made by other developers and are only published by Bethesda. Except that they did make Fallout 3. I do know it sure is great not having a game crash every time you go through a door or a saved file is made.. So far this game has crashed twice on me. Both times was me messing with different video drivers. Other than that rock steady. It was made by Arkane, only published by Bethesda.
Zuletzt bearbeitet von kaffekoppen ; Sure it's more linear. I don't think that in itself makes it less ambitious, it's just a different type of game. Thanks guys. Keep your thoughts coming.
